Union Programs: Rita Ravens Alexander Service Workshop

As part of Union Programs' ongoing commitment to serving the KU and Lawrence communities through innovative programs and student leadership development, the annual Rita Ravens Alexander Service Workshop exists to provide the leaders of KU student service and philanthropy organizations with a full day of immersive training in areas including:

  • Volunteer management for service and philanthropy organizations
  • Fundraising and grant development for non-profit organizations
  • Communication strategies for service organizations and non-profits
  • Interaction with campus and service-based professionals

Endowed and launched in 2015 by Rita Ravens Alexander, a KU and Student Union Activities alumna, the annual workshop is designed to further enhance what KU's student service and philanthropy organizations can do for their communities and stakeholders.

The 2016 Rita Ravens Alexander Workshop will be held on Saturday, September 24 at the Kansas Union from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.. For more information or to RSVP for yourself or your KU student organization, please refer to the contact information below.
