The Union moves toward financial stability

The essential elements of the Union are intact and will remain so going forward. While the Union faces several years of debt retirement, it has made the adjustments necessary for a sound future.

April Brack, our new Controller, and JJ O’Toole Curran, our acting CFO, tirelessly managed our financials to ensure viability.

Student leadership is always essential to our success, exemplified by the efforts of Andrew Moore, Corporation Board President, in quickly learning and directing corporation endeavors. Andrew acknowledged the extraordinary support received from Student Senate and KU—presenting “The Presidential Special Service Award” to Niya McAdoo, Student Body President, and Katrina Yoakum, KU Controller.

The Union also marked the official retirement of long time manager Warner Ferguson (after fifty years of service) by naming our business center “The Warner Ferguson Business Office”.

Thank you for enriching our current programming dollars and helping our students thrive.
