Kansas Union is investing in enhancing the visitor experience by creating inviting spaces that foster a sense of belonging. All renovations are made possible through Student Fees by the Student Senate.

2.2.26 Update

We are officially one step closer in the renovation process for our updated Level 4 spaces! Demolition is finally complete, and beginning next week, construction will move into the next phase with framing and drywall installation.
We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout all the noise, dust, and ongoing disruption happening in the building. Check back here for more updates soon!

2.6.26 Update

The framing and drywall are nearing completion, and painting is scheduled to begin next week. During this time there may be some light fumes, but they are expected to be mild and guests should experience minimal disruption. Areas or routes may be blocked, but will be kept to a minimum. Check below for access routes throughout the week!

The busiest doors on campus are getting a new look! Including spacious options for tabling, and the inclusion of our historic Jayhawks on the ceiling.

In Memoriam

A dedication wall will be placed on level four as a World War I Memorial for the 130 Jayhawks who died in service to our nation.

Traditions Area

Get a feel for the Jayhawk spirit in the updated Traditions Area. The perfect way to make game day (or any day) even better.

This area will add a new cozy option for small gatherings, individual workspaces, or a place to recharge.

Perfect for your next watch party, updates will include moveable furniture designed to accommodate groups of all sizes.

CoffeeHouse

A versatile gathering space where members of the community can meet for coffee, collaborate, or unwind.

The inclusion of long tables will serve to encourage group meetings, joint study sessions, and engaging conversations.

Jayhawk Ink

Jayhawk Ink will receive several new enhancements to its space. A brand-new KU logo installed on the wall, and a large 90-inch screen TV will help to elevate the environment.
