Heart of Campus
The Kansas Union, KU’s community hub, fosters open dialogue and inclusivity, supporting student aspirations for a better KU and community. Built as a memorial to 130 KU World War I casualties, it was dedicated in 1926 by Chancellor Lindley. Despite renovations, additions, and a 1970 fire, the Union endures.
